Patient Case Reports of Mold and Mycotoxin Detection Using OAT, MycoTOX Profile, and The Dust Test
Overview
In this webinar, Kurt N. Woeller, DO will share case reports from his clinical practice showing the importance of triangulation lab testing from Mosaic Diagnostics for mold and mycotoxin detection using the organic acids test (OAT), MycoTOX Profile, and The Dust Test. Each test has its own value from a detection perspective, but often it’s advantageous and necessary to incorporate all three profiles to increase the analysis of these exposures. Attendees will learn how each separate test provides a different viewpoint of mold and mycotoxin assessment, what certain markers mean from each test, and how mold detection can line up across these three profiles in conjunction with education online tools for mold and mycotoxin information. The goal is to empower practitioners to appreciate the value of each profile but also to see patterns across complementary laboratory testing to improve patient outcomes.
Objectives
- Interpret the Organic Acids Testing (OAT) with regards to mold exposure, and complementary OAT markers that can indicate mold exposure.
- Using the MycoTOX Profile for mycotoxin detection and better appreciate its clinical application and utility.
- Interpretating The Dust Test with regards to mold spore exposure and connect its findings to the Mosaic Diagnostics OAT and MycoTOX Profile.
- Understand the relationships between these three tests through patient cases Dr. Woeller’s clinical practice.
