About the Author

Dr. Michelle Maddux, Director of Clinical Education

Dr. Michelle Maddux is the Director of Clinical Education at Mosaic Diagnostics and prior to that, she has served as the Senior Manager of Clinical Development. In this role, she leads a team of clinical educators, spearheading the delivery of effective educational content. She collaborates across departments to integrate clinical expertise with organizational innovation, streamlining resources and driving key projects forward. 

With over 15 years in functional and integrative laboratory medicine, Dr. Maddux specializes in supporting women navigating complex health needs. A “big picture” strategist, she excels in complex data synthesis, particularly for practitioners managing multi-test protocols. She enjoys translating seemingly fragmented data points into cohesive, realistic treatment plans that address root causes and provide comprehensive patient solutions. 

Dr. Maddux earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Sonoran University of Health Sciences and a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Her clinical perspective is further enriched by advanced training in laboratory medicine, eating disorders, and mindfulness-based practices.

Scott Mattivi, CEO of Mosaic Diagnostics

Scott Mattivi, CEO of Mosaic Diagnostics, is a visionary leader in the diagnostic laboratory space with nearly 40 years of experience spanning clinical, biopharma, and laboratory operations. Before joining MosaicDX, Scott held executive roles overseeing clinical labs and biopharma/clinical trial services. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Pathology Watch and spent over a decade in progressive leadership positions at Eurofins Viracor BioPharma Services, including President, Vice-President of Operations, and General Manager. He began his career in laboratory management at Quest Diagnostics, where he spent more than 22 years driving growth across various roles.

Originally from Pittsburg, Kansas, Scott holds a degree in Biology from Pittsburg State University, and a Medical Technology degree from the University of Kansas. When not at Mosaic’s headquarters in Kansas, Scott resides in Colorado Springs. He is a devoted husband, father of two grown children, and proud grandfather. Scott’s passions include his faith, his family, the dedicated teams he leads, and the mission of supporting the practitioners who work tirelessly to improve the lives of patients navigating complex, chronic disease.
