Beyond Neurotransmitters: Using the OAT to Uncover Hidden Drivers of Anxiety and Depression
June 25, 2026
Overview
Are your complex patients struggling with a stubborn web of anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, and GI distress? When standard labs fall short, the OAT holds the answers. Join us for a deep-dive case study webinar where we map out the clinical journey of a multi-symptom patient from initial presentation to recovery.
You will learn how to identify critical OAT patterns driving mental health struggles, focusing on the mind-gut connection, mitochondrial dysfunction, neurotransmitter metabolism, and oxidative stress. Master the art of connecting biochemical markers to systemic symptoms, and walk away with a practical, functional medicine framework to build targeted treatment protocols that deliver lasting patient outcomes.
Objectives
1. Recognize functional medicine contributors to anxiety and depression that may be identified through the OAT.
2. Interpret OAT markers related to neurotransmitter metabolism, microbial metabolites, nutrient insufficiencies, and mitochondrial function.
3. Develop clinical treatment approaches based on OAT patterns to support improved mental health outcomes.
