Patient Opportunity

Based on Maggie’s symptoms and environment, we tested for MVOC and used a mold detection dog to reveal mold in the home. An Organic Acids Test (OAT) with MycoTOX and the ToxDetect Profile revealed exposure to Aspergillus and Candida, dysbiosis, mycotoxins, dysbiosis, high oxalates as well as histamine intolerance and mast cell activation. The testing revealed significant environmental toxin exposure and metabolic imbalances, paving the way for a targeted intervention.

Approach

Treatment involved focusing on dietary adjustments and immune stabilization. Maggie was placed on a temporary low-salicylate and oxalate diet, reducing oxalates by 5–10%. Temporary use of montelukast, ketotifen, and low-dose naltrexone (LDN) stabilized mast cells and reduced pain. Due to salicylate intolerance, natural pain-relieving supplements were initially avoided.

Neuroprotekt-Low Phenol, by Algonot was given as drops twice daily. Detoxification and digestion were supported by clay, glutathione, magnesium malate, zinc, quercetin, butyrate (Tributyrin-X), Holozyme enzymes, and ox bile support, while inflammation was reduced using SPM. Xlear with grapefruit seed extract was used for nasal rinsing, and HCL was introduced after initial tolerances issues were treated. Antimycotoxin binders were started with activated charcoal and liquid bentonite.

Results

Within five months, Maggie experienced a 90% reduction in pain, a complete resolution of fungal colonization, and regained approximately 90% of her energy. She was able to resume most of her dietary habits. She saw significant improvements in overall energy and quality of life. The multi-faceted treatment plan led to lasting remission, with Maggie becoming pain-free and her energy largely restored within one year.
