Can “cleaner” eating do more than just improve nutrition? The PEARL Study (Personalized Nutrition, Education, Assessment, Real Food, and Lifestyle Support) was designed to answer that exact question.
Recently published in Current Developments in Nutrition (an American Society of Nutrition journal) and presented at APHA and MAPS, this groundbreaking research moves beyond simple macronutrients to quantify how targeted dietary interventions reduce toxic burden in autistic patients.
By tracking physiological shifts in exposure and metabolism through a rigorous pre- and post-study design, PEARL provides a definitive look at the power of personalized nutrition as a clinical tool for detoxification and healing.
Objectives
Learning Objectives:
We’ll explore how simple, real-world dietary education can create measurable improvements including lowering exposures, shifting metabolism, and empowering families through:
Mycotoxins & Organic Acids: Understanding the metabolic shifts following dietary change.
Environmental Toxins: Identifying common hidden culprits in the standard diet.
Heavy Metal Loads: Assessing the impact of “real food” protocols on toxic burden.
Empowering Families: Insights into the study’s unique approach to teaching families how to identify, shop for, and prepare low-toxin meals.
