Test Kit Contents
Start by identifying these elements of your test kit

Before You Start:
- Limit fluid intake after 6:00 pm the night prior to collection.
- Prior to bed, empty your bladder. Upon waking, collect your urine prior to eating or drinking. Ensure that it has been at least 6 hours since you emptied your bladder.
- A diluted urine sample may be inadequate for sample analysis and be rejected.
- Samples that are visibly contaminated with blood (red, pink, or brown in color) will be rejected.
It is recommended, though not required, to talk with your prescribing practitioner and discontinue any unnecessary supplements or medications at least three days before collecting your specimen. Please continue to the next page for specific test requirements.

Let’s Get Started:
- Complete the information on the barcode sticker AND the vial by writing the patient name, date of birth, and collection date. Disregard “Medical Records Number”. Place the barcode sticker on the vial, ensuring information written on the vials is visible. Use blue or black ink from a ball-point pen – do not use felt-tipped pens or dry-erase markers. Note: Unlabeled samples will be rejected.
- Collect a first morning urine specimen and see the table above for storage instructions.
Preparing the package
- Ensure the frozen specimen(s) are labeled and sealed tightly. Check the box indicating it has been frozen. Place specimen(s) and absorbent packing sheet into the biohazard ziplock bag and seal.
- Place the sealed biohazard zip-lock bag and frozen ice pack into the silver thermo bag and seal.
- Place the filled silver thermo bag into the test kit box and close the lid.
Locate the shipping instruction card for details on how to ship.
