Background
Susanne is a 34-year-old female who presented with extreme fatigue, seizures, difficulty walking, talking tremors and trouble with every day activities. Her condition began in 2021 with pressure behind her eye and an eventual COVID viral infection. She passed out soon after in her laundry room and was taken to the ER. She stayed in the hospital for 6 days, yet all of her tests came back clear.
Patient Opportunity
Based on her history and environment, I recommended the Organic Acid Test (OAT) and MycoTOX Profile®. She had very high Ochratoxin A, Aflatoxin M1 and Mycophenolic Acid present on her MycoTOX Profile. Her OAT showed widespread mitochondrial dysfunction and very high Arabinose which indicated additional fungal burden in the GI tract from overgrowth of Candida albicans – SIBO. Even her home mold test came back with off-the-chart mold and spore counts.
Approach
First, Susanne needed to stop being exposed to mold. The second thing I recommended right after her positive test results, was to work on mold drainage and detoxification. She was placed on nutraceuticals to kill mold and fungi as well as high doses of liposomal glutathione. I also recommended binders to help absorb biotoxins that would inevitably increase when she started to destroy the mold-related biofilms. She also used daily coffee enemas for several weeks to assist the liver and lymphatic system to clear toxins. Finally, due to the POTS and orthostatic challenges she had, her HPA axis needed support as well. She took several products designed to give the adrenal glands the raw materials necessary to build more resiliency and increase her energy levels.
Results
Due to the chronic nature of her issues, it took Susanne several weeks to stabilize and start seeing changes. However, just 8 months after she and I first began working together she was experiencing levels of energy, mental clarity and even hair growth that she had never seen before. She now enjoys a higher level of health and energy than she has ever had in her life.
